A perfectly blackened salmon filet stuffed with crab, tomatoes, cheese, parsley, and breadcrumbs sits on creamy jalapeño cheddar grits, then gets finished with a rich Cajun crawfish cream sauce. It’s a dish that combines Southern comfort, Gulf Coast seafood, and the flavors I’ve loved cooking my entire life.
Who is your culinary inspiration?My grandmother is my greatest culinary inspiration. While I didn’t spend much time cooking alongside her, I learned by watching her dedication, long hours, and love for cooking and baking. Seeing the excitement and happiness her food brought to family and friends showed me the power of great food. Her passion inspired my own, and it’s a big reason why I chose a career in the culinary world.
What would you do with the $25,000?Winning the $25,000 would help turn a lifelong dream into reality. I would use it to start my own food truck, giving me the opportunity to share my food with more people while building a business from the ground up. More than that, it would be the foundation for a legacy—something I can grow into a restaurant and brand of my own. This opportunity would help me turn years of hard work, passion, and dedication into a lasting future.
