What is your signature dish?

I make a wonderful lasagna that I have put my own spin on. Super easy to make and you will never look at lasagna as being difficult ever again. It’s healthier, filling, versatile and makes outstanding leftovers. I also have a very special recipe for lemon bars that is unlike any lemon bar you see in standard recipes. They are refreshing, different and such a hit whenever I bring them.

Who is your culinary inspiration?

I couldn’t give you one. I really couldn’t. I’ve been blessed to have quite a few. My mom introduced me to cooking and I was making my own BBQ sauce at 9 and rolling catering trays for her by 12. I loved it all. Was fascinated. When my husband and I first got married I’d watch PBS all weekend long. Jacques Pepin was my favorite. Classic everything. The original iron chef. Learning out of the ordinary. I’ve held many “food” jobs through the years.

What would you do with the $25,000?

If I was blessed enough to receive the 25,000 I would donate a portion of that to Oscars Place adoption Center and Sanctuary where I volunteer 3 days a week. The rest would go right to my dream of having my own food truck. Bringing joy through food on my own terms. Oh the things that I could do with that food truck. The possibilities are endless and wonderful and exciting and I am willing.
