Receive Text UpdatesI don't have a signture dish. But I really enjoy cooking Garifuna and traditional mayan cuisine from Guatemala. One of the dishes is Kak'ik (turkey soup) and rice and peas (aka rice and beans)with fried plantains and chicken.
Who is your culinary inspiration?My inspiration is fiuel by my ancestors.Cooking with grandmother, father, motherand the land are the backboneto my inspiration. Cook with my grandmother,showed me the ritual side of cooking. We would cook these elaborate meals that took hours of cooking and required in so many spices and herbs. My father inspires me to try different flavors from all cultures. My mother inspires me to love our tradition Guatemalan cuisine. What would you do with the $25,000?When I win $25000, I will invest in buying a small ice cream truck and turn it into a small kitchen .
