Jägerschnitzel with homemade spaetzle. It is a traditional German dish I loved while living in Frankfurt as a teenager. Once I began cooking, it was one of the first dishes I mastered. I make the schnitzel with veal and I love to add fresh herbs to my spaetzle. What makes it Jäger style is the mushrooms and onions! Wunderbar!
Who is your culinary inspiration?My mother has always been my inspiration for cooking. She may not have been a home chef, but she loved to cook and experiment with different cuisines. She did not hold any weight with “If you can read, you can cook!” She believed a good cook learn a recipe and then add ingredients to make it their own version! What would you do with the $25,000?Because I love foods from all different places, I think that with $25,000 I would take my family on a culinary adventure through Italy and the Basque Region of France and Spain. My ideal trip of a lifetime!
