My signature dishes are the meals that bring together bold flavors, comfort, and culture. I’m especially known for my pasta dishes, flavorful chicken biryani, spicy habanero wings, and a variety of Asian-inspired noodle dishes. I love creating meals that are full of flavor and leave people wanting another bite.
Who is your culinary inspiration?My greatest culinary inspiration is my parents. My father, who worked as a chef after migrating from Guyana to America, showed me the dedication, creativity, and passion that cooking requires. My mother made sure our family stayed connected to our roots and culture through her homemade Guyanese meals filled with love and tradition. Growing up surrounded by those flavors and experiences inspired my passion for cooking and exploring cuisines from around the world.
What would you do with the $25,000?Winning $25,000 would allow me to take a major step toward my dream of opening a restaurant with my parents — combining our passion, culture, and love for food into something meaningful for our community. It would also give me the opportunity to give back by helping families and children facing food insecurity. Food has always brought people together in my family, and I would love to use that same passion to make a positive impact on others.
