Who is your culinary inspiration?My culinary inspiration comes from family, culture, and the experience of bringing people together through food. Growing up, I was inspired by home-cooked meals that carried flavor, love, creativity, and tradition all at once. That foundation pushed me to create food that feels comforting but still elevated and memorable. The idea that everyday food can still feel luxurious. I love blending bold flavors, live cooking experiences, and presentation to create meals that people actually remember.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would use the $25,000 to grow Nilah Street Kitchen powered by The gourmet homegirl by upgrading food truck equipment, expanding catering operations, increasing inventory, and strengthening branding and marketing across the DMV area. The investment would help us create more community-centered luxury street-food experiences while building a sustainable family-owned business.
