I'm not sure that I have one signature dish, but it is definitely a carbohydrate. Some would say it's my challah bread, other might say it's a fresh pasta dish.
Who is your culinary inspiration?Certainly my mother and grandmother, but truthfully, neither were great cooks. It was always more about creating community and taste memories. Classically, I would say Julia Child. I remember watching her show constantly when I a kid. Now, I feel like everyone is a culinary inspiration. I love seeing new flavor combinations, learning about new ingredients and techniques and creating approachable food - whether for a fancy dinner or everyday dinner.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would use it as part of a down payment on a property that could be a farm and culinary institute. I have been a chef instructor before and I would love to continue to share my passion with others.
