Who is your culinary inspiration?My culinary inspiration is rooted in the rich traditions of home cooking and community mentors who demonstrated that food is the ultimate love language. I am deeply inspired by chefs who use their platforms to teach, mentor youth, and democratize access to wholesome, delicious food. Their ability to turn a simple kitchen into a classroom and a neighborhood hub drives my passion to teach the next generation of cooks and continuously elevate my own craft.
What would you do with the $25,000?Winning would be a catalyst for growth. I would invest the $25,000 directly into expanding my restaurant, Freshlyfe, and upgrading our catering operations to serve a larger segment of our community. Additionally, a portion of the funds would go toward scaling our youth culinary education initiatives—providing more hands-on cooking classes, proper kitchen tools, and resources to teach teenagers the fundamentals of healthy, life-sustaining culinary arts.
