Receive Text UpdatesMy signature dishes are where Dominican soul and elevated comfort food meet at the same table. I’m known for my slow-roasted pernil, creamy smoked gouda mac & cheese, candied yams, and my luxury brunch experiences featuring brioche French toast, empanadas, and made-to-order favorites. Every plate tells a story of resilience, family, and Caribbean culture with a modern twist that feels both comforting and unforgettable.
Who is your culinary inspiration? My biggest culinary inspiration is my abuela and the strong women in my family who could turn simple ingredients into meals that brought everyone together. They taught me that food is more than flavor, it’s love, survival, celebration, and community. I’m also inspired by chefs who elevate cultural cuisine without losing its roots. That balance between tradition and innovation is what drives my cooking every day.
What would you do with the $25,000?Winning $25,000 would help me fully establish Abuela’s Soulfood Kitchen as a thriving personal chef and catering brand. I would invest in a licensed kitchen space, equipment, marketing, and staffing so I can expand private dining experiences and community meal initiatives. Most importantly, it would give me the stability to grow sustainably while creating opportunities to mentor others who come from backgrounds like mine.
