Who is your culinary inspiration?My mother. I grew up cooking with her in the kitchen helping her with holiday dinners. When I was around 8 years old she went to culinary school and one of my most vivid memories is watching her graduate with pride. she’s always inspired me to cook with my heart and both honor tradition while still allowing innovation and creativity to transform my cooking
What would you do with the $25,000?It would go towards my mom and I’s small food business, we would love the opportunity to expand beyond our monthly pop ups and catering opportunities, this money would help us renovate my moms kitchen and backyard so that we can operate our small business out of our backyard, and provide Caribbean food to the Los Angeles area
