Receive Text UpdatesMy boys would say I make the best roasted chicken with vermouth sauce. I think I make a thousand signature dishes: Korma, lasagne, enchiladas, pot roast, my $1k steak sauce, preserved lemon risotto, or just cornbread and peas, they’re all delicious. Who is your culinary inspiration?I was a curious 14 year old, so I signed up for home economics class in 10th grade at my Alma mater, Nolan Catholic in Fort Worth, Texas. I had a semester of sewing and then a semester of cooking. It was 1986 and my sweet teacher, Sister Bertillia, inspired me to love planning a thoughtful, delicious, nutritious meal. I have a life long passion for expanding my culinary skills into any cuisine that makes me excited. She was a wonderful example to be open and to have fun with meals!
What would you do with the $25,000?Thru my work with local churches, organizations, and schools, I have spotlighted one area of need in my community. Food insecurity is a sad truth in my North Mississippi region. I would love to to help bring much needed resources to people in need right here in my hometown of Tupelo, MS. My passion for food is my drive to a better community.
