Receive Text UpdatesI have never had an individual signature dish. For me, cooking is about the shared experience, memories and joy it brings for an individual, while creating new ones. Knowing a little about a many has always appealed more as it means learning about histories and cultures, and connecting people in a more intimate way.
Who is your culinary inspiration?Originally my grandmother. As I grew and learned, Anthony Bourdain became someone I looked up to and wanted to emulate. I was raised on the same principles he showcased and how he sat and listened and learned from people everywhere. Everyone is equal at the table, and with food it’s the best place to learn and understand someone different.
What would you do with the $25,000?Maybe take a small vacation hahaha I have been saving and working towards opening something. Whether a food truck or a brick and mortar location, the money would go towards that dream. I’ve been fortunate to have been taught much and for the opportunities I have had. I wish to pay that forward and guide and teach the next group of chefs with humility and integrity.
