What is your signature dish?

A cathead biscuit base layered with savory red eye gravy, bright fresh sliced or grilled tomato, slow-smoked, melt in your mouth pork, a perfectly poached egg, and finished with rich hollandaise sauce made churned and smoked butter, and a green onion garnish.

Who is your culinary inspiration?

My greatest culinary inspiration is my grandmother, Nanny. She raised us on a small family farm north of Natchitoches with resourceful, love-filled Southern cooking — meals made from what the land provided. She taught me that food is more than sustenance; it’s comfort, connection, and healing.

What would you do with the $25,000?

Securing a $25,000 prize would significantly enhance my chances of acquiring the essential equipment for catering and participating in competitive events. Additionally, this prize would enable me to finally embark on the long-awaited kitchen remodel project!
