My signature dish is both science and intuition. It draws from the factual language of land, season, and culture, and the creative intelligence of the senses—taste, smell, texture, and memory. Rooted by Indigenous Africa, shaped by the spice routes of Afro-Indo-Asian, Mediterranean, Southern and North Africa, it becomes a layered living expression. Each dish is guided by what is needed in the moment—like medicine for body, heart, and mind and moment.

Mother Nature is the inspiration—the master architect of interconnected systems. She reveals how seasonality, environment, and ecology shape the land and human experience. Cooking is guided not only by ingredients at their peak, but also by the atmosphere of a place, energy of the elements and story behind a gathering. I would bring my daughter home to South Africa to meet her family and roots, grounding her in where she comes from. I’d clear a small amount of debt, then invest in building a life and body of work rooted in food, land, and healing—creating immersive experiences that nourish beyond the plate. This support would allow me to grow something meaningful that not only sustains us, but contributes to a more connected, inspired future for humanity as well.
