Receive Text UpdatesMy signature dish is Breads and spready stuff :) Grilled flatbread, fresh sourdough and jalapeño/cheddar loafs with an array of delicious condiments like pickles, marinated cheeses, confit heirloom cherry tomatoes, Texas style hummus etc. All in different size and shaped mason jars and fun platters. It inspires sharing and conversation and gets your party socializing and feeling at home.
Who is your culinary inspiration?1. My Grandma. When we were growing up she hosted family night dinner every Wednesday and everyone was EXPECTED to be there. The family would talk about the happenings of the week (and spill any tea worth spilling) She was the first best cook that I ever knew. 2. Not the t.v. version, but the real Chef Gordon Ramsey. He is a philanthropist to the communities where his restaurants are located, does so much for young cooks and is more generous than a lot of people know.
What would you do with the $25,000?After I identified a location that I would want to impact, I would first donate $5000 to the local church or community center in order to express how seriously I want to be a part of the success of the future of my community. (Think of Magnolia in Waco Texas) I would use the rest to help open a restaurant that has a streamlined, diner style menu BUT… Focuses on daily lunch specials that keep things interesting and exciting. Serving people cuisines from my travels around the world!
