Receive Text UpdatesI don’t claim one signature dish because I love cooking all kinds of fish and vegetables. But if I go by what my friends always request, my unofficial signatures would be my fish wontons, tabouli, stuffed cabbage, mac and cheese, potato salad, salmon croquettes, and succotash—dishes that show my variety, different variations, and how much joy I put into every meal.
Who is your culinary inspiration?My culinary inspiration starts with Carla Hall—I watched The Chew every day and was heartbroken when it ended. From there, I dove into Iron Chef, Chopped, and every cooking competition I could find, learning new techniques and exploring cultural cuisines that continue to shape the way I cook.
What would you do with the $25,000?I’d use the prize to cover some bills, upgrade my kitchen with a pantry shelf for my KitchenAid, proofing box, and other appliances, and put the rest toward saving and investing for the future.
