Macaroni and cheese, though I also excel at Asian dishes. Mac and cheese needs a few things to be successful: a balance of sharp and easy-melting cheeses, a hit of dry mustard powder, and a whisper of nutmeg. I also feel strongly that Asian food should be less about soy sauce and more about using the entire, brilliant Asian pantry.
Who is your culinary inspiration?Carla Hall is a huge inspiration, because she understands and communicates that food is really communion and fellowship. Food is about people, and that comes through in the way she presents it.
What would you do with the $25,000?I have just left my career as a corporate communications executive to take a few months off and pursue writing and joy - this would allow me a little extra time to find the next right place to land.
