My most popular dish by far is my Key Lime Pie. Inspired by an old Seattle restaurant, I wrote the recipe to rival our memory of the dish. It looks beautiful on the plate, and the simplicity makes it iconic.
Who is your culinary inspiration?I really adore Emeril Laggase, and Ina Garten. I love home cooking and entertaining and their recipes are geared toward the home chef. My style is heavily influenced by chefs like these, even Martha Stewart or Alex Hitz are inspirational. That being said I am a ghetto dog lady who lives in a small house with my eccentric autistic son, and the grandeur is mostly in my head. I dream of beautiful tables and garden parties, I love lavish holiday parties as well.
What would you do with the $25,000?Something very special for my son Miles, and the rest would go into building a website to get my business a bit more accessible to new clients. Maybe a trip for us to visit my other son Isaiah in college in Santa Barbara for a chance for all of us to be together again.
