Receive Text UpdatesUffff! Lentil stew with the side of coconut white rice, garnished with avocado (aguacate-Spanish) and fried plantain ( tostones). I always like to cook mashed plantain with onions on top with fried cheese, salami, and fried egg, that's one of our DR distinguished dishes.
Who is your culinary inspiration?Well! I have several. My mom, who taught me how to cook when I was 10, is an amazing Dominican cook. My family: my kids love my food and specifically my husband, because he always said to me that my food is worthy to wait, no matter how long I took to finish my dish, and I love Rachel Ray… I used to watch her when I was pregnant with my older kid, and now I watch some of her shows when she cooks at home, and her husband prepares drinks and the sisters' dessert.
What would you do with the $25,000?To help pay for my daughter's college, she doesn’t have a job now, and because of that, she won’t be able to graduate next spring 2027. Hoping May God open that door in order I can support her.
