Who is your culinary inspiration?My culinary inspiration comes from the belief that food is a love language. For me, cooking is about bringing people together, creating comfort, and giving people something that makes them feel cared for. A lot of that passion came from my mom — she taught me, encouraged me, and helped shape the way I cook today. I carry that into every dish by focusing on bold flavor, richness, freshness and food that feels homemade and memorable.
What would you do with the $25,000?If selected for the $25,000 from Favorite Chef with Carla Hall, I would invest it into advancing my culinary skills through professional training, upgrading essential kitchen equipment, and refining my craft. I would focus on improving technique and consistency, especially with my signature birria dishes. I would also use the opportunity to develop new recipes and explore pop-ups or catering to share my food with a wider audience and grow as a professional chef.
