Who is your culinary inspiration?Kwame Onwuachi inspires me because he uses food to tell stories rooted in culture, resilience, and identity. As a Black chef blending Cajun, Soul, and Caribbean flavors, I relate to his fearless creativity and authenticity. He showed me that your background, struggles, and heritage can become the foundation of something powerful in the culinary world.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would use the $25,000 to help bring my restaurant concept, Yeaux-Yeaux’s, to life a Cajun soul food café inspired by Louisiana, Caribbean culture, and my community. Although I have no Carribean background. I love the food. The s would go toward equipment, pop-up events, branding, and creating a space where people can experience food, culture, music, and genuine connection. My vision is bigger than a restaurant; I want Yeaux-Yeaux’s to become a place that feeds both the soul
