It’s comforting, rich, elegant, and deeply soulful dining with heart. I love creating food that feels elevated but still emotionally connects people to warmth, memories, and togetherness around the table.
Who is your culinary inspiration?My culinary inspiration comes from chefs like Michael Voltaggio, Nancy Silverton, Antonia Lofaso, and Carla Hall. I admire Michael’s creativity, Nancy’s mastery, Antonia’s fearless leadership, and Carla’s joyful spirit. Carla especially inspires me because her food feels warm, soulful, fun, and full of personality, exactly how I believe cooking should make people feel.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would use the $25,000 to help build my dream of creating Camp Luxbe a healing culinary and spiritual retreat experience where food, community, and wellness come together. I’d invest in equipment, creative content, and experiences that help people reconnect with themselves and each other through soulful food, nature, laughter, and healing. As a Latina LGBTQ+ chef, I want to create spaces where everyone feels seen, safe, inspired, and nourished.
