My signature dish is creative gourmet chicken sandwiches. I love taking something familiar and turning it into a unique experience through bold flavors, homemade sauces, and different cultural inspirations. When people think of a chicken sandwich, they usually think of the same basic ingredients, but I enjoy putting my own creative twist on it. My culinary inspiration is my grandma, Mama Pat. She taught me how to cook and inspired my love for food, especially fried rice, one of the first dishes I learned to make with her. As one of the head chefs at the Dr Pepper factory in St. Louis, she showed me how to elevate simple ingredients into something special. I also helped her cater events, where I learned food is about creating experiences, bringing people together, and expressing creativity.

If I win the $25,000, I want to create unique tasting dinners and food experiences that bring people together through food and music. Each event would feature a curated menu inspired by different sounds, cultures, and live music experiences like jazz jam sessions. Food and music are both huge parts of my life, and this opportunity would help me turn that vision into unforgettable community-centered events.
