Receive Text UpdatesThat question is a little bit difficult to answer. Because, at first glance, the question makes me say brownies. The brownie recipe that I found from a cookbook in my ever-growing cookbook collection was the first recipe that I memorized. I am confident in my brownie-baking skills. Even with that, I feel like my "signature dish" is baking or cooking with whatever we have in the pantry or the house.
Who is your culinary inspiration? My mom and dad are always going to be my culinary inspirations. I always saw how my mom and dad would come together at the beginning of every week and discuss how they could stretch 8 chicken thighs into 3 different meals to feed a family of 8 (six kids and the two of them). We had SNAP and WIC growing up. But that didn't stop my mom and dad from always putting food on our plates, even their own. I will always be thankful for them.
What would you do with the $25,000?If I got the $25,000, I would live more comfortably. I would be able to help my family out with rent and other expenses. I would also put some money towards my dream of starting up a Non-profit, connecting with the local food banks in the area. Teaching people how to bake and cook on a budget. I want to share with everyone that it is okay to get help from food banks when times get tough.
