Receive Text UpdatesI believe in home cooking so I can turn ketchup into something delicious. However, I have a garden where I grow over 100 heads of garlic each year. I will harvest the scapes, fry them in butter with sage, pepper and salt then sauté pasta or new potatoes with them with some parm on top.
Who is your culinary inspiration? My mom, my aunts, my time working as a prep cook at the University of Alberta. Too many to name. I still have my cookbook from home economics in the 1980s. Still use some of those recipes today.
What would you do with the $25,000?I don’t know. I would like it to something for good. Food insecurity is an issue. People believe that getting and preparing fresh food is hard. It isn’t. I would use at least half of the money to set up an annuity for those that are in need and can find innovative ways to eat.
