I pride myself in making cooking feel accessible and fun. Sharing my love of trying (and sometimes failing) with food brings me so much joy!

Who is your culinary inspiration? My dad. We didn't have much growing up, but he made sure food was always a fun way for the family to connect, learn new skills, and spend time together. Nowadays, we spend most of our time together in the kitchen sharing recipes or working our way through cookbooks. He has always had an admirable confidence in the kitchen, even with things he's never made before. I'd be remiss to not also mention Claire Saffitz, who sparked my love for baking in a family of "non-bakers"
What would you do with the $25,000?I've always had a dream of owning my own coffee shop in downtown Toronto, where I can create a welcoming third space for the city's queer community, make good coffee, and bake scones and treats to share with my city. I'd put the money towards making that dream a reality. This would make a huge impact in the startup costs and get me one step closer to seeing friendly neighbours faces every morning for coffee!
