What makes it special is the balance between tradition and innovation bringing together the bold flavors of my Nigerian heritage with inspiration from my journey in Canada. Every plate tells a story of culture, resilience, and creativity.
Who is your culinary inspiration?My greatest culinary inspiration is my mother. She introduced me to the passion, discipline, and love that goes into cooking. Watching her create meals with so much heart taught me that food is more than nourishment it’s a way to connect people and create memories. Her creativity and dedication continue to inspire the chef I am becoming today.
What would you do with the $25,000?Winning the $25,000 would allow me to invest in the growth of my restaurant, 10.59 Lounge & Restaurant, which is still in its early stages. I would use the funding to upgrade kitchen equipment, improve operational efficiency, and expand our menu and dining experience. Most importantly, it would help me continue sharing authentic African flavors with the community while creating opportunities for growth, creativity, and cultural connection through food.
