Who is your culinary inspiration?Several: Julia Child, Anthony Bourdain, Alton Brown, Duff Goldman, Wolfgang Puck, Jamie Oliver - you get the idea. The beauty of television is that it lets me gather so many wonderful ideas for fresh additions to my repertoire from both experts and home cooks. Mind you, after watching "foodie" shows, I am not allowed to use a credit card in Kitchen Stores for at least a month.
What would you do with the $25,000?Finish extensive repairs to the water-damaged kitchen; teach my grandchildren (one pictured) fusion fare, barbecue, and that it's okay to play with their food. That's how you fall in love. Create a larger "garden to table" space with raised beds. Design menus for friends, family, guests - warm, welcoming, memorable food. Use it for research for future cookbooks.
