I also serve smothered bone-in pork chops over creamy mushroom rice that melts in your mouth with every bite. When people eat at my table, they are not just getting a meal — they are getting an experience filled with warmth, passion, and joy.
Who is your culinary inspiration?I have always loved feeding everyone, but during a difficult season of illness, cooking became something even deeper for me. The kitchen became my place of comfort, healing, peace, and purpose. Preparing meals gave me strength on the hardest days and reminded me that food can still be shared, even through adversity. Cooking has never been just about food for me — it is how I express compassion, joy, and gratitude. When family and friends sit at my table, they are experiencing joy!
What would you do with the $25,000?If I became America’s Favorite Chef, I would donate gift cards to my Pulmonary Hypertension family to help others facing difficult times. I would also use the opportunity to pay off old medical bills and continue paying my COBRA premium. Cooking has always been my way of showing love, compassion, and support to others, especially during life’s hardest moments. I want to continue using food to bring comfort, hope, and joy to my family and friends. Sam my and I would take a vacation.
