Who is your culinary inspiration?My greatest culinary inspiration is my granddad, DS. He was the heart of every celebration, always cooking for family gatherings & bringing people together through food. Later in life, he became very ill with kidney failure, & the doctors restricted him from eating many of the dishes we loved most. Even then, he still cooked them for us. What would you do with the $25,000?With the $25,000, we would upgrade our MEHKO kitchen and launch a marketing campaign for The Hidden Gazebo Eatery, a mother-and-daughter–founded backyard restaurant. Through healing food, Egyptian flavors, and 7, 12, and 24-course dining experiences, we create moments of connection, culture, and love. This support would help us reach more people while continuing to nourish both body and soul through heartfelt hospitality ❤️
