Receive Text UpdatesIts my pasta salad. I get asked this a most time skate around the answer because its not fancy or braking a mold. But its mines and people have it and request it more than anything I make. Its boxed rotini, lightly charred veggies and my red wine vinaigrette. Simple but intentional. Also might I say God blessed these hands so everything I make becomes signature. Not my flavor but His favor. He gets the glory for the chef I am. But yeah the question, my pasta salad.
Who is your culinary inspiration?Mashama Bailey said in black white and Gray that she knew that she wanted to cook when she realized that she needed the instant gratification. That cooking for people granted her. Those are probably not the right words but that's basically what I got from what she said. And yet I recognize that when people ask me what would I like to cook and why? It's about the service. What would my guest like to eat and can I create it in a way that sparks a core memory. So really my guests inspire me.
What would you do with the $25,000?25K is not a small amount of money but im sure goes quick. 1st I would take my kiddos on vacation. While I my give to others thru food, working fulltime and catering on the side is time consuming. I think we can all use a moment. Next I would be strategic in bill pay, and investing in Queen Cane. This will help get me into a space to more freely serve and create. The goal is to build a company of substance and purpose that also yields profit. So ideally use the 25k to make more...
