Made with eggplant, onions, garlic, tomatoes, and olive oil, it reflects the simplicity, richness, and heart of Turkish cuisine. I love preparing it because it transforms humble ingredients into something unforgettable. For me, İmam Bayıldı is more than a dish—it’s a story of culture, family traditions, and sharing love through food.
Who is your culinary inspiration?My biggest culinary inspiration is my family, especially the generations before me who passed down traditional Turkish recipes and cooking techniques. Their passion for gathering people around the table taught me that food is more than a meal—it’s a way to share culture, love, and connection. I am also inspired by chefs who honor tradition while bringing creativity to their dishes.
What would you do with the $25,000?If awarded $25,000, I would invest it in building my dream of sharing Turkish cuisine with a wider audience. I would use the funds to purchase equipment, develop unique recipes, create food content, participate in culinary events, and take steps toward opening my own Turkish restaurant. My goal is to introduce authentic Turkish flavors to more people while building a business that celebrates culture, community, and creativity.
