Receive Text UpdatesMy mother's okra taught me everything. I took her recipe, honored its roots, and made it my own by building it around slow-cooked oxtail and a fiery spiced pepper sauce. Hours of low, slow heat, layers of tradition, and the okra she raised me on at the center of it all. It is heritage transformed. A daughter's love letter to her mother's kitchen. Every bite tells that story.
Who is your culinary inspiration?Anthony Bourdain, God rest his soul. He taught the world that food is never just food. It is history, identity, and human connection on a plate. His fearless pursuit of culinary culture across every corner of the globe mirrored everything I believe in. He showed us what is at stake when those traditions disappear. Preserving them is not optional. It is urgent. He is my reminder of why.
What would you do with the $25,000?This funding would go directly toward launching Ancient Techniques Cooking School in NYC. That means securing our first commercial kitchen space, sourcing authentic artisan tools, and bringing our full curriculum to life. We teach transferable techniques rooted in civilizations across the globe, not just recipes. $25,000 turns a fully developed vision into an open door. The school is ready. We just need the spark.
