Receive Text UpdatesMy signature dish is Mejbani beef, inspired by the traditional mezban culture of Chittagong, Bangladesh. It’s a slow cooked beef dish layered with roasted spices, heat, richness, and deep flavor. It’s the dish that connects me most to home, community, and the food traditions I grew up around. Through Chittagong Kitchen, it became one of the dishes people started recognizing me for.
Who is your culinary inspiration? My wife is my biggest culinary inspiration because she was the first person who pushed me to believe in myself as a chef. After moving to Canada, I started cooking at home for my family, and she kept telling me my food was too good to stay inside the house. That encouragement eventually led to Chittagong Kitchen, culinary school, and my journey into the professional culinary world.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would invest it into building the next stage of Chittagong Kitchen through curated Bangladeshi dining experiences, halal cooking classes, and developing my own spice and halal product line. As a husband and father of two, it would also help me create a more stable future for my family while continuing to represent Bangladeshi cuisine in Canada
