My shrimp and grits, gumbo, beef stroganoff, and pan-seared salmon with champagne dill beurre blanc are crowd favorites and keep guests coming back for more. Pastry has always been a big part of my culinary journey—I started baking at just 10 years old. While I love creating elegant desserts, my pecan pie remains one of my favorites. Sometimes a Southern classic is simply hard to beat!
Who is your culinary inspiration?Thomas Keller for his brilliance! Hands Down! And Ina Garten is a fav because she is simply fabulous!
What would you do with the $25,000?If I won $25,000, the first thing I’d do is pay off some much-needed kitchen equipment and invest in upgrades that would help my restaurant continue to grow and thrive. And if I’m lucky enough to have some left over, I’d finally take the trip of a lifetime to France! As a chef, experiencing the country’s rich culinary traditions, techniques, and flavors firsthand has always been a dream of mine.
