Winner will appear in Taste of Home magazine, cook with Carla Hall, and take home $25,000
I’m well rounded in the kitchen from working pantry, pastry chef and pitmaster at a large bbq restaurant. I love everything about cooking.

Receive Text UpdatesIt’s hard to pick just one dish. I love cooking such a variety of things. If I have to pick one thing I would say smoked party ribs with smoked baked beans. Also with a smoked pineapple upside down cake! It’s a favorite at every bbq!
Who is your culinary inspiration? There are so many amazing chefs it all started with watching Emeril Lagasse when I was probably 10 years old. From there I cooked my way through one of Bobby Flays cookbooks when I was in culinary school. Anthony Bourdaine, Gordon Ramsey are true inspirations. Then to my mentor from working in a restaurant, Chef Jon Fortes taught me how to truly be a good chef.
What would you do with the $25,000?If I won I would use some of the money to compete in more bbq competitions. I competed in my first competition this year and won people’s choice! It was one of the most fun things I’ve ever done. Possibly get a trailer smoker so I could cook even more things at once.
