Who is your culinary inspiration?Beyond the culinary influence of my father and grandfather, my childhood was defined by a front-row seat to the masters of the craft. I was utterly transfixed by the charismatic energy of Graham Kerr (The Galloping Gourmet) and the rhythmic, precision blade-work of Martin Yan (Yan Can Cook). My culinary curiosity was further fueled by the playful wit of Stephen Yan (Wok with Yan), the operatic passion of Pasquale Carpino, and the raw, unfiltered storytelling of Anthony Bourdain.
What would you do with the $25,000?Winning $25,000 through FavChef is a massive opportunity to turn a love for food into a sustainable community resource. I would be able to organize a series of monthly, high-quality community dinners where there is no "us and them"—just neighbors sitting down to a chef-level meal. This removes the stigma often associated with food programs and celebrates the dignity of a good meal. Food is therapeutic this program could specifically target mental health clients in my community.
