Who is your culinary inspiration?My greatest culinary inspirations are Robert Irvine and Alton Brown, but my true inspiration is my Jamaican grandmother. I grew up watching her cook traditional Caribbean dishes while sharing stories of her mother cooking on a farm in Jamaica. When she came to the U.S., she cooked for community events with my grandfather, teaching me that food brings people, culture, and love together.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would take a portion of the money and use it to keep my food truck business going but also it would help to use some of it to transition to a restaurant. Also use some of it to put a down payment on a house.
