Receive Text UpdatesWell, everybody loves my buttermilk biscuits, and my lasagna is always a hit, but more than a specific dish I enjoy being able to make a beautiful and nutritious meal from whatever is in my pantry in fridge at any given moment.
Who is your culinary inspiration?I learned all the basics from my mom while I was growing up. Since then, I have learned a lot watching various chefs on Food Network. A couple of my favorites were Michael Chiarello and Anne Burrell, who have sadly left us, and I have learned a lot from Bobby Flay, like the importance of seasoning each component to add layers of flavor, and “If you’re not tasting, you’re not cooking.”
What would you do with the $25,000?I always have a few “kitchen toys“ on my wish list. At the top of that list right now is probably a smoker and maybe a separate fridge to use as a blast chiller.
