Chicken Marengo, a hearty Italian dish that combines chicken with Italian tomatoes, mushrooms, onions, and herbs, simmered until the chicken is tender and served over rice or pasta. It's a delicious comfort dish that is really easy to make.
Who is your culinary inspiration?My Mom! I took her cooking for granted until I joined the Navy (50 years ago), and left home. Every time I came home to visit, I would ask her to show me how to cook the food I grew up with. She’s passed away, but I still try to channel her spirit when I’m in the kitchen. My other inspiration are my grandsons. I love showing them how much fun cooking can be and hope they will enjoy cooking as they get older. Both grandsons have started watching cooking shows on YouTube!!
What would you do with the $25,000?I would use a portion of the winnings as a donation to the Travis Manion Foundation, which helps veterans and the family of the fallen to continue to serving the community and act as role models for the youth. I would use the other portion of the money to travel and take cooking classes!!
