I've decided to choose poor man's spaghetti. I chose this dish because it is based on family history in a poor copper mining community in Upper Michigan. You used what you had to feed 6 children. Expensive meats were not available for those who couldn't afford them. The simplicity of this dish vs the layers of flavor will surprise you as well as the flavo
Who is your culinary inspiration?My grandmother. I grew up in her kitchen & restaurant. She taught me to take what ingredients were available & turn it into something amazing. She practiced the same concept as Lidia Bastianich. Simple ingredients, in season & what was on hand.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would donate a large portion to the Sheboygan County Warming Shelter. In our community, most don't realize how under-served that population is & aren't exposed to those type of life situations normally.
