Who is your culinary inspiration?Hessie Richmond, my grandmother and culinary inspiration, helped raise me and sparked my passion for cooking. I spent my childhood watching her prepare homemade Southern meals from scratch, filling the house with different flavorful aromas. I’ve also traveled to several countries, learning different cultural cooking styles and techniques that I now incorporate into my own cooking while staying rooted in Southern tradition that was pioneered by my grandmother in Byhalia, Mississippi.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would use the $25,000 to grow my culinary business and give back to families in the Memphis area, especially those connected to St. Jude. Food brings comfort, and I would love to provide home-cooked meals to families going through difficult times while honoring the Southern cooking traditions my grandmother passed down to me.
