My favorite things to cook are things that make others happy. I love making my wife’s favorite roasted butternut squash soup, macaroni and cheese for my best friends, and many treats for my step sons. My signature dish is “what’s your favorite food?”. I love to experiment with recipes and bring others joy through food.
Who is your culinary inspiration?My mom and grandmothers are my inspiration in the kitchen. Growing up on a farm, I learned how to create magic with the things we grew ourselves. Making jelly, rice pudding, applesauce, pie crust, and spaghetti sauce from scratch are some of my core childhood memories. When I make these things today, it brings me right back to my mom and grandmother’s kitchen- churning apples, stirring pots of jam, and rolling out fresh dough.
What would you do with the $25,000?My wife and I are beginning a fertility journey to grow our family together. We are starting on a long and expensive road to having a baby, and 25,000$ would go a long way in making our dreams of a little one come true. Also, my stepsons love roadtrips and the beach, so a family vacation would be amazing!!
