Who is your culinary inspiration?Chef Carla Hall inspires me because she honors the self -taught cook, the grandmother, the home kitchen where love lives. She went to culinary school, but what makes her extradinary is how she celebrates soul foods roots & nutritional wisdom. After 45 years in the kitchen, I'm still cooking & still learning- just like she is. Chef Carla proved a woman with passion, purpose, & a pot can change lives. That's exactly what I intend to do with Portion Revolution.
What would you do with the $25,000?The $25,000 would go directly into launching Portion Revolution - my healthy cookbook series. I would use it to self - publish, print, & distribute copies to doctors offices, hospitals, & community centers where people need health guidance most. This money would also fund my podcast & help me build the storefront I have been dreaming of for 5 years. This is not just a cookbook - it is a movement for communities that need it most.
