Receive Text UpdatesMy signature dish isn’t just one plate it’s the feeling behind it. I grew up around Puerto Rican and Caribbean food where every meal meant family, music, laughter, and surviving hard times together. Whether it’s mofongo, pollo fricasé, empanadas, or a simple plate of arroz con habichuelas, I love taking humble ingredients and turning them into something beautiful, comforting, and full of soul. My food tells the story of where I come from.
Who is your culinary inspiration?My inspiration comes from the people who cooked for me growing up. The family members (Grandma, mom, aunt and uncle’s) who could turn very little into a feast and make everyone feel loved at the table. Watching them taught me that cooking is not about being fancy it’s about making people feel something. Today I cook with that same heart, but I also want to show the world that Caribbean food deserves to be celebrated, elevated, and respected globally.
What would you do with the $25,000?Winning $25,000 would help me achieve a personal dream buying my first home with a bigger kitchen where I can continue growing as a food creator. I create Puerto Rican and Caribbean dishes with heart, culture, and creativity, and this opportunity would help me build a space where I can keep sharing my passion for food, family, and storytelling with the world.
