My signature dish is a Teriyaki Salmon Bowl. It is packed with sweet and savory teriyaki-glazed salmon, fluffy rice, and crisp, colorful toppings.
Who is your culinary inspiration?My mom has always been the heart of my culinary inspiration. Long before I ever shared recipes online or stood in front of a classroom teaching students about food and nutrition, I was watching, learning, and realizing that food was about so much more than just eating. It was comfort. It was love. It was family. It was the way she made ordinary moments feel special. Some of my best memories are tied to the sounds and smells of her kitchen.
What would you do with the $25,000?If awarded the $25,000, I would use it to invest in my students, community, and furthering my education. As a Family & Consumer Science teacher, I would donate a portion to my classroom to provide more hands-on learning opportunities, and resources that build real-life skills and confidence. I would donate a portion to my church’s food bank for those in need. Finally,I would further my own education so I can continue growing professionally and bring even more knowledge to my classroom
