What is your signature dish?

Pan-Seared Duck Breast with Roasted Beet & Chikpea Puree, Date Gastrique, Pickled Berries, Purple Potatoes, and Micro Amaranth. Oops all purple

Who is your culinary inspiration?

Alton Brown was my first culinary inspiration. He provided me with food as entertainment and education at a young age. Food as something to get excited about and understand. He put good food within my reach at a time where every dish beyond a ham sandwich seemed extravagant.

What would you do with the $25,000?

With $25,000 I would finish paying off my family’s debt and begin an account for my little girl. My new goal with any career I take moving forward is to provide my daughter with opportunities that I was not afforded as a youth. To put extravagant food on the table literally and figuratively. This money puts me a few steps ahead for her future.
