My goal and passion is to provide for my daughter with Down syndrome, who loves to cook, and one day cook alongside her in the kitchen.

Receive Text UpdatesMy signature dish is salsa. It might sound simple, but it’s the one thing people always come back for. No matter how many “fancy” dishes I cook, this is what brings friends and family together around the table. It’s fresh, bold, and made to be shared and it represents the way I cook: food that connects people.
Who is your culinary inspiration? My main culinary inspiration is Julia Child. She didn’t begin serious culinary training until her late 30s, showing it’s never too late to reinvent yourself. I just turned 50 this year and she motivated me to seek out my true passion and purpose in life which is cooking and hopefully along side my daughter with Down syndrome one day. Stanley Tucci is a more recent inspiration to me as he connects his food to family and his food content feels authentic not staged or overly technical.
What would you do with the $25,000?If I won $25,000, I would open a small café or food truck with my daughter, who has Down syndrome, so she can build confidence and grow through cooking and service. I would also create opportunities to hire other individuals with special needs and disabilities, building a welcoming space where food, dignity, and purpose come together.
