Receive Text UpdatesMy signature dish is a classic Puerto Rican plate: seasoned pork chops, sweet plantains, and a side of rice and beans. It’s a meal deeply rooted in my family and culture. While it’s straightforward to prepare, I’ve learned that these simple comfort foods are the ones that make people feel most at home. cooking this is my way of sharing my heritage and bringing everyone together around the table.
Who is your culinary inspiration? My biggest culinary inspiration is my family, especially the people who taught me that food is one of the best ways to show love. Growing up around Puerto Rican cooking showed me how food brings people together. Im reminded of these lessons everytime I cook for my little sister, and seeing how food can brighten someone’s day reminds me why I love being in the kitchen.
What would you do with the $25,000?Winning $25,000 would help me invest in my future while continuing to grow my passion for cooking. As a college student entering my sophomore year at CCSU, I would use part of the money to help with school expenses and reduce financial stress. I would also invest in improving my cooking skills, equipment, and opportunities to share my food with others. Most importantly, it would help me continue supporting my family and building a future doing what I love.
