It was really hard trying to pick a singular dish. I kept thinking, “what about this?” Or “wait, what about that?” But my heart kept bringing me back home. My signature dish is New Mexican, red chile, stacked enchiladas. Nothing beats a taste of home
Who is your culinary inspiration?My family has always been my culinary inspiration. My grandma Naomi and my mom are both amazing cooks and I learned at their knees. I’m proud of my family and my heritage. My Nana Jean was also amazing, and I’m thankful for what I was able to learn from her.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would be in disbelief! I would want to give back to organizations that have helped me. Being a kidney transplant patient, I have been helped and supported by so many. The Make a Wish foundation, the Lupus Foundation of America, and Kidney transplant centers are a few places I would like to donate to. I would love to be able to open a food truck to share my food and heart with the world!
